Park my license but why must I park my Ontario real estate license to reduce my costs?

Park your Ontario real estate license with a trusted Brokerage today and save your money.
Park my Ontario license because of a few good reasons. Most of all I don’t want to lose my license. It takes about 8 months time and a lot of cold hard cash to obtain a license these days and not to mention the follow up courses required within the first 2 years of “apprenticeship” you can say. Then there are the 24 credit hours to complete every 2 years as your RECO

real estate license becomes renewable. Are you asking, should I Park my license?
I’ve seen real estate agents become dormant in this business and yet, they did not know any better so they kept their license registered with a full service Ontario Brokerage and therefore responsible for all the expenses including the real estate board fees, desk fees, franchise fees, monthly advertising fees, just to mention the main ones. See some of their Park your license testimonials.
There are still real estate agents out there that are not aware of the services of a Brokerage license holding company. Such a Brokerage here in Ontario makes it easy to transfer your license to their firm. There is a membership fee which is payable to them and that covers the cost of parking your license there for a year or whatever you both agree to. If you or I choose to become an inactive real estate agent then I would surely park my license and use their services.
I would strongly consider to park my Ontario realty license and hold it active if:
a) I was part time and doing very little sales activity
b) ready to slow down as I approach retirement
c) another more tempting career opportunity came along
d) illness and/or a sickness in the family forced my hand to quit for a while
e) a job opportunity located outside the Province otr Country
f) a sabbatical was in order after years of selling
g) no need for the services of a real estate board
h) husband and wife teams or any other teams that do not require every real estate agent to pay the high Board fees and Office expenses
I) Pregnancy leave
J) etc etc
If I park my license with a holding realty company, the bottom line is that I will save a lot of money and it just makes sense if I am going to be inactive and taking a break away from the real estate brokerage sales business. My Ontario license is very valuable and as long as I keep it active, I can always return to sales in the future. Park my license rather than let it expire and/or be terminated? You bet that would be the wise choice!
Yes, I am a Broker/Manager and want to refer my in-active real estate agents to your holding company Brokerage.
Yes I am a new/Veteran real estate agent and want to park my license for future use and save on most expenses.
